Exquisite sculpting, combined with this exceptional clay makes this creation both dynamic and serenely whole: the very essence of what is Buddha.
This Buddha head is produced with an ethereal dark specking on an off- white stoneware clay. The snailcurls are individually placed by hand, then the ground between each curl is stippled. The entire face is then detailed and the whole piece is coated with a ceramic slip let dry and fired.

It is mounted on a black enamel finish wood base which is 5 3/4" square by 4 3/4" high. The overall size is approximately 15" high.
